Brick Lane - a street in East London, Tower Hamlets. It is the heart of the city's Bangladeshi-Sylheti community and is known to some as Banglatown. It is famous for its many curry houses, trendy shops and nightlife.

Diwali is five day festival celebrated in India and many other countries around the world by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains, which each year takes place between mid-October and mid-November. The celebrations in Londons Trafalgar Square are organised by the Mayor of London in association with the Diwali in London Committee.

Southall is a London South Asian residential district, often called "Little India". In 1950, the first group of South Asians arrived in Southall, reputedly recruited to work in a local factory owned by a former British Indian Army officer.
